Bitches Hoarding Bagels is a blog about all the annoying, random shit people do, things that make you say “Like WTF?!” Want to punch that close talker in the face because he is invading your personal space or fire your cleaning lady because she just doesn’t know how to make a bed? Hate most things people do and crave to bitch about them? Most importantly, love bagels and despise the bitches who hoard them? Well then Bitches Hoarding Bagels is the blog for you! The origin of Bitches Hoarding Bagels is pretty self explanatory, but basically living in a sorority house in which the one bagel per person rule was severely violated inspired me to, well, blog and that just snowballed into, well, this. I’ve always wanted an “About the Author” section that includes a nice black and white headshot of me while describing my quiet, happy life in Nantucket with my husband and Wheaten Terriers. Instead, I got this: a bagel blog that highlights just how bitchy I really am. It’s easier than writing a book, but do they make Lifetime movies about blogs? Or bloggers? Hm. Well, this is the “About Me” section so let me give you my life story in a sentence: My name is Allison Miszner, but my friends call me Flal, and I’m a white Jewish girl from Long Island, who goes to the University of Maryland, is in a sorority (AEPhi, duh), and wants to go into entertainment PR. Have you heard of a more stereotypical girl in your life? No, I am sure you have not. But, just like Gretchen Weiners doesn’t want to be punished for being well liked, I don’t want to be punished for being mainstream. Sorry I’m not sorry I like my Uggs and Real Housewives. Is that a crime? What’s important though is what I don’t like, and that’s pretty much everything else. Really, I’m just a small-scale blogger looking for some wide-scale fame. I also like to bitch a lot. A lot. Oh and if you haven’t noticed, I love bagels.
